The SPRC Committee acts as the personnel committee, serving as a liaison between the congregation and staff to support ministry, evaluate performance, and manage HR functions.


Core Responsibilities


  • Staff Support and Evaluation: conducts annual reviews for clergy and staff, provides support, and addresses ministry effectiveness and continuing education needs.
  • Personnel Administration: develops personnel policies, handles hiring, contracting, and dismissal of lay employees, and establishes compensation packages (salary, benefits, housing) in consultation with the pastor and Church Council.
  • Liaison Duties: fosters open communication between staff and the congregation, and consults with the District Superintendent regarding pastoral changes.
  • Strategic Planning: works to align staff roles with the church's mission and vision, often focusing on developing specific skills and competencies for positions.


Current Events


SPRC met on March 25th. Discussions were held regarding Easter Sunrise and Thanksgiving Worship services. Plans for an Easter service will be put off until next year. Pastor Vicky will put out a letter later this year to all churches in our community to gauge the interest in having a Thanksgiving Worship service. We will volunteer to host.


Past Events


SPRC teams from Pine Bluffs and Grace met to evaluate our Pastor via Zoom in November 2025. It was a unanimous decision to retain Pastor Vicky Martinez as Pastor for both Churches.
